Sept. 8th- Agency Assist- Officer Sprague was dispatched to the Hampton Inn to assist Orem Police with a suspect that was being detained after a employee of the hotel walked into the suspect's room and found a large baggie of marijuana.  When Orem Officer Wallace arrived on scene, the marijuana was gone.  K9 Officer Lopez also responded and his dog was able to locate the marijuana outside of the hotel.  The suspect was arrested on two outstanding warrants and a probation violation.  Two employees of the hotel were also fired for their role in the incident and possibly assisting in hiding the marijuana.

Sept. 8th- Assault- A UVSC student attempting to avoid a parking ticket attempted to back up his vehicle while a parking enforcement officer was standing behind the vehicle.  Other parking enforcement officers reported that the suspect struck the parking officer with his vehicle then exited his vehicle and entered the Liberal Arts building  Officer Sprague was able to locate the suspect in the Liberal Arts building and take the suspect into custody without further incident.  After speaking with the victim and the suspect, the suspect was charged with Disorderly Conduct.

Sept. 9th- Agency Assist- UVSC Officers responded to a local condominium complex on a report of a man with a knife yelling at residents.  Just prior to the officers arrival, the man got in a white van and headed south bound on I-15.  A UVSC and Orem Officer attempted to catch up to the vehicle but had to terminate when they ran into severe weather.

Sept. 9th- DUI- A adult male leaving the Owlz baseball game was arrested for DUI drugs by Officer Marble after Officer C. Smith observed the suspect during the game and believed he was impaired.  Evidence discovered in the vehicle indicated the suspect was on pain pills and other illegal substances.

Sept. 12th- Assault- A UVSC student was arrested by UVSC Officers after they had received several calls regarding a male suspect that had been kicking people and property in several buildings.  Officers have had several involvements with the suspect recently and were able to locate him with the help of witnesses.  The suspect was charged with Assault and Intoxication.  He was also trespassed from UVSC until a disciplinary hearing can be held to determine his status as a student.  The suspect was later arrested by Orem Police for a incident at the Sinclair gas station just south of campus.

Sept. 14th- Agency Assist-  UVSC Officers commandeered several pieces of specialized equipment along with man power from UVSC.  The officers, employees and equipment  responded to Golds Gym in Orem to assist Orem Fire Department with a man that was pinned between a elevator and the 1st floor.  After several hours, the man was freed and transported by helicopter to a trauma center for treatment. 

Sept. 16th- Medical- A UVSC Police Officer along with Orem Paramedics responded to the Liberal Arts building after a student was accidently struck in the face by his female dancing partner.  The resulting injury was a laceration to the face and the student was referred to a local hospital for stitches.

Sept. 19th-Warrant Service- A adult male wanted by UVSC Police for possibly stalking a female student was located in the Computer Science building and taken into custody without incident.  The suspect who is not a student had two outstanding warrants for his arrest as well as was listed as a parole escapee out of Washington state.  The suspect was booked into the Utah County Jail.

Sept. 19th-Medical- UVSC Police along with Orem Paramedics responded to parking services after a 35 year old female collapsed after becoming upset over a parking citation.  The female was transported by paramedics to a local hospital for further treatment.

Sept. 21st- Warrant Service- Officer A. Smith came across three men playing frisbee in parking lot D at 03:30.  Officer Smith discovered that one of the men had two warrants for his arrest.  The male suspect was taken into custody and booked into Utah County Jail.  The other two suspects were warned for trespassing.

Sept. 21st-Medical- UVSC Police along with Orem Paramedics responded to PE154 after a female dancing student was dropped from about 6 feet by her partner.  The student was complaining of neck, face, and back pain.  She was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for further evaluation.

Sept 22nd- Theft-UVSC Police responded to a report of a theft from the womens locker room in the PE building.  A unknown suspect entered a unlocked locker and stole the property that was inside. 

Sept. 23rd- Agency Assist-UVSC Police responded to Walmart to assist Orem Police with a group of individuals trying to use a fake $100.00 bill..  Two suspects were taken into custody and two remain at large.

Sept. 27th- Warrant Service- Officer Sprague initiated a traffic stop on a motorcycle for expired registration.  The stop resulted in the arrest of the suspect for a warrant out of Pleasant Grove.  The suspect was also charged with Driving on Suspension, No Motorcycle Endorsement, and Expired Registration.  The suspect was booked into the Utah County Jail.

Sept. 30th- Resisting Arrest- Officers Sprague and Wind were patrolling the parking lots north of the McKay Events Center when they observed two intoxicated males fighting.  The officers were taking the suspects into custody as one of them began to flee on foot.  Officer Wind was able to stop the suspect from fleeing as other officers arrived to assist.  The suspect had to be tased in order to safely take the suspect into custody.  Both suspects were charged with Intoxication.  The suspect that ran was also charged with resisting arrest.
