May 3rd- Theft- A 12 year old female was a victim of a theft from a room in the Student Center. The female left her purse in the room while she was in the theater. When she returned, her MP3 player was missing.

May 3rd- Theft-A adult female was a victim of a theft from a room in the Student Center when she left her camera bag unattended for a few minutes. When she returned to the room, her camera bag with two cameras had been stolen.

May 3rd- Theft- A adult female was a victim of a theft when she left her purse unattended in a conference room in the Student Center. When she returned, her wallet had been taken from the purse.

May 4th- Theft- A adult female was a victim of a theft of a undisclosed amount of money when she left her purse unattended in a room in the Student Center. UPDATE: 5/13/05 suspect was arrested

May 4th- Trespassing- Officer Sprague was dispatched to Lot V on a report from ALLC Administrators ofeleven of their students trespassing on UVSC property. Officer Sprague arrived on scene and warned eleven students for trespassing, one for smoking, and seven were referred to ALLC for truancy.

May 4th- Disorderly Conduct- K9 Officer A. Smith was dispatched to ALLC on a report of a student that had punched through a glass window on a door. The suspect had left prior to the Officer's arrival. The suspect and his girlfriendwere later located by Orem Police and taken into custody after a short pursuit. The suspect was transported to a local hospital due to the injuries he received when he punched through the wire glass.

May 5th- Traffic Accident W/Injury- Officers were dispatched to 400 W 1200 S on a report of a traffic accident involving a18 wheeler and a Jeep Cherokee. The driver of the Jeep Cherokee had hit a stop sign and three trees before hitting a 18 wheeler. The result of the impact ruptured a diesel fuel tank on the side of the 18 wheeler causing it to spill it's fuel. A large piece of the 18 wheeler came off barely missing a five year old girl's head who was on a sidewalk and hit a house. The round-a-bout at 1200 S 400 W was closed for more than an hour while emergency personnel from UVSC and Orem investigated the accident and the hazardous material spill was cleaned up. The driver of the Jeep was transported to a local hospital for treatment of the injuries he received during the accident. The accident is still under investigation.

May 5th- Traffic Accident- A UVSC Officer responded to parking lot D on a report of a traffic accident that had occurred at the round-a-bout located at the front of campus. One of the drivers was cited for failure to yield right of way.

May 6th- Lewdness- UVSC Police along with Orem Police responded to the area of Lot V on a report of lewdness in progress. A suspect was located and taken into custody.

May 9th- Possession Controlled Substance- Two male suspects were arrested for trespassing, possession of a controlled substance in a drug free zone, possession of drug paraphernalia in a drug free zone, and trespassing. Both suspects were booked into a local detention center.

May 10th- Suspicious Odor- UVSC Police long with the Provo Fire Department responded to a report of a gas leak at an aviation hanger owned by UVSC at the Provo airport. A investigation determined the odor to be sewer gas from a floor drain.

May 11th- Suspicious Bag- A suspicous bag was reprted to be left in the Administration building. A officer arrived on scene and found the bag to contain ordinary office documents. It was quickly determined who owned the bag and the occupant of the area was allowed back into his office.

May 11th- Trespassing- A officer investigating a theft at ALLC was notified of a trespassing incident in progress. A student from American Fork High School was detained and quesitonedin regards to his purpose of being at Alpine Life and Learning Center. The student was released and warned for trespassing.

May 13th- Traffic Accident- A trafficaccident occurred in the parking lot of ALLC. A truck struck a parked vehicle causing approximately $2000 damage.

May 13th-Agency Assist- A UVSCOfficer responded to assist Orem Police with a drunk driver on University Parkway and the I-15 NB on ramp.

May 13th- Agency Assist- A UVSC Officer responded to a apartment complex near UVSC to assist Orem Police with a drug overdose. The victim was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment.

May16th- Traffic Accident- A traffic accident occurred at the round-a-bout when a driver failed to yield and struck a car in the round-a-bout. There were no injuries.

May17th- Medical- A baseball player ran into the left field retaining wall at full speedduring the UVSC vs. UTAH game. The impact knocked the player unconcious for over two minutes. The game was stopped for a short time and the player was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for further evaluation.

May 18th- Medical- A UVSC Student driving through the parking lot had a medical condition that caused him to lose control of his vehicle striking a parked vehicle. The driver was treated on scene and released by Orem Paramedics.

May 18th- Medical- Officers responded to the Student Center quad on a report of a female that slipped on the grass during a Student Government event. The female refused medical treatment.

May 20- Agency Assist- Officer Sprague was flagged over near lot V and advised of a suspect that looked as if he was intoxicated and was covered in blood. The reporting party advised that the suspect went to a local residence and was let inside. Officer Sprague responded to the residence along with Orem Police and Fire Units. The suspect was located inside the residence which is actually a group home. The suspect was intoxicated and was not cooperative with police officers in explaining how he received the injuries. The suspect was turned over to the group home staff and advised to stay inside.

May 20th- Agency Assist- A UVSC Officer along with Orem Police responded to a local apartment on a report of a suicidal male. The individual was evaluated and not found to be suicidal.

May 23rd- Suicidal Female- Officer Stockwell was observing a suspicious vehicle in a parking lot when he noticed flames inside the vehicle. Officer Stockwell made contact with the occupant of the vehicle and found that the driver had attempted to set herself on fire. The fire had extinguished itself and the female was not injured. The female was turned over to the custody of her mother and taken home.

May 24th- Agency Assist- Officer Sprague was contacted by a construction worker near 600 S 1200 W concerning a purse they had found in a trash dumpster. The purse belonged to a victim of a auto burglary at a nearby apartment complex. Orem Police were notified and Officer Sprague turned the purse over to them for further investigation.

May 24th-Agency Assist- Officer Sprague was dispatched to Sinclair at 800 W 1200 S to assist an Orem Officer in which the driver had a warrant for his arrest.

May 25th- Agency Assist- A UVSC Officer was dispatched to 300 S 1200 W to assist Orem Police with a traffic stop in which the driver did not have a drivers license.

May 25th- Agency Assist- UVSC Police Officers responded to University Parkway and 800 W to assist Orem Police in directing traffic when a crane being transported by a semi became stuck when trying to make a turn onto Sandhill Road.

May 26th- Agency Assist- A UVSC Officer responded to the area of 100 W University Parkway to assist Orem Police with taking a male suspect into custody for lewdness. The UVSC Officer took the suspect into custody and then turned him over to Orem Police upon their arrival.

May 26th- Suicidal Female- A UVSC Officer was notified of a student that told a teacher that she wanted to die earlier in the day. The Officer was able to locate the student and confirm that she was seeking help for her depression.
